This project was a renovation of the former Historic Parks and Recreation maintenance building at 17th Terrace and Woodland in the Historical Jazz District, Kansas City Missouri. The building will houses the Black Archives of Mid America, which is a museum of artifacts relating to African-American history in the United States. The renovated facility also houses gallery spaces, tenant offices and classrooms. The work consists of the restoration of the building exterior, and renovation of the existing building into a museum with adjacent office space. The work includes stone restoration, roof replacement, window replacement, new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, interior renovation, and site improvements.
